RESIT COURSEWORK (TOM TRIM) 1.

The task that I have decided to choose is the music magazine. Before undertaking this I will have to do relevant research to prove that I know the codes and conventions used within professional music magazines, as well as the strategies that are used to make it appeal to it's intended audience.

In my research I will analyse 5 full music magazines (front cover, contents and double page spread) as well as other features, which include marketing, codes and conventions, texts, pictures, picture editing, content etc.

When analysing these, it shall be in accordance to the M.I.G.R.A.I.N model.
M- Medium -e.g. film, magazine, poster etc.
I- Ideologies- the concepts and ideas behind the piece.
G- Genre- Rock, Pop etc.
R- Representation.
A- Audience- it's target demographic.
I- Institution- Who distributes and sells the product.
N- Narrative- Layout and design.
